So I Have A New Obsession...

I kept seeing these cute hair bows all over the internet and decided to try it out on my own. My girls had a few sets I got at the store and love putting them in their hair, I figured if they can glue some ribbon together and sell them like crazy, so could I! I found a DIY tutorial and started just making the Korker style bows and setting them on lined alligator clips. Those were the style I had purchased at the store. They are pretty simple to make and being the overachiever I am, I had to find the hardest style and try it out. I have found a few different names for the style, but I like Funky Loopy Bows. There are many tutorials out there for purchase, but I just made mine up as I went along and it turned out great. It is just a whole bunch of different ribbons in different textures and any other type of colorful decorations you want to put in. The first one I made has 9 types of ribbon, some curled, some short lengths V cut at the ends and some looped. I added some short pieces of tulle and little pearl strands. It is all attached to a lined alligator clip. I tried it in my oldest daughter Natalee's hair and fell in love! The pictures don't do it justice.

Christmas Is On It's Way!

Oh boy, only 8 weeks until Christmas! I have been so busy coming up with new ideas and working on gifts, I haven't had time to get them on here to show off! Oops! Here is one of my new creations I thought everyone would enjoy. These will spruce up any gift bag or package with the sparkling red and white cardstock I used. If the paper isn't enough, they are embellished with black glitter dots for the buttons and rhinestones on the belt.

Fall is here, so are some new embellishments!

It's been awhile since my last post, that has to do with my new 8lb 8oz bundle of little boy that joined us on August 24th. Since then it has been a chore getting everyone accustomed to our new life with 3 kids under 4.

Last week I stepped back into my world of crafts and got started on some cute pumpkins to add to my embellishment category. I hand punched them out of textured cardstock, dabbed each piece on an ink pad to give the edges some emphasis, then dotted a bit of glitter glue on the edges (for the needed sparkle that is my signature!) I made some with a foam square on the back for embellishing cards, scrapbook pages or anything else that needs a little fall color and also mounted some on black tags with bright orange sparkly ribbon. A Few Days Left

Since I have a few days until baby comes I decided to post some of the stuff I made for the festival and didn't get up on the website. I made these really cute gift card holders/greeting cards, perfect for birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, anniversaries, etc. They are made from heavy cardstock and decorated with really cute paper flowers and rhinestones. I left them generic, but can stamp any type of sentiment like "Congratulations" or "Just for You" inside. If you need one for a certain occasion or in certain colors, let me know. I'm sure I can come up with something perfect for you.

I Made It Through the Weekend...

What a weekend! I had so much fun at my booth in the festival, I definitely want to do it again! Maybe not 9 months pregnant, but soon! Friday started out kinda slow, after setting up the tent I had people stopping by to check out my stuff and by mid afternoon I had a few sales. Toward the end of the afternoon a customer came by and asked for a chipboard album in certain colors and since I brought most of my paper, I was able to make it for her on the spot. It was hectic, but worth it and I am so glad I had my support team there to help me out with other customers while I worked. Saturday morning had a great turn out until the rain came about 1:00. We were able to take down our tents and get out of there by 7:00. I had so many people helping me load up it only took 15 minutes!
